Fresh vs. Dried
Fresh psilocybin mushrooms are roughly 90% water by weight. The standard conversion is approximately 10:1—ten grams of fresh mushrooms contain roughly the same psilocybin as one gram dried. The niacin flush—a harmless but uncomfortable tingling, redness, and warmth across the skin—is intentional in Stamets' design. Every-Other-Day Protocol

Two grams will give you an unmistakable, meaningful psychedelic experience—visual effects, emotional depth, altered time perception, genuine insight—without the intensity that makes first-timers feel they’ve lost control.
